In the research report prepared by Riinvest, to be discussed in this roundtable, some social-demographic aspects that predetermine the labour force in Kosova are examined. Subsequently, employment issues are scrutinized, such as employment according to economic sectors. Special attention is paid in this report to the problem of unemployment. Its extent and structure are analysed in the light of comparisons with other transition countries. Apart from examining the current situation in the labour market and identifying the main determinants of such a situation, we ascertain a set of economic policies to combat the high unemployment. In this report, Riinvest presents a list of recommendations addressed to decision-makers concerning the issues of the labour.
