Terrorism and organized crime phenomena have been attracting the attention of numerous theoreticians, equally so as they have been the matter of interest of both experts and field workers involved in security activities at the national and international level. Although organized crime contours can be discerned in former periods and social systems, it seems that it is exactly the conjunction of several different factors of security risk that has conditioned the spreading of these phenomena, in the same way as asking for responses to these threats in contemporary society. It is beyond any doubt that such situation has been favoured by globalization as a process which, besides positive, most certainly has its negative sides, in several ways.
