Appropriate, timely and comprehensive protection of the victims of domestic violence is essential in overcoming and dealing with the violence suffered. The implementation of this analysis is a continuation of our efforts over the years to establish and develop protection systems for the victims of domestic violence in our country. This time, it is an analysis of sheltering as one of the protection measures for victims of domestic violence. This analysis is a first attempt to address the situation regarding the sheltering in our country from the viewpoint of the providers – the shelters, and the recipients – the sheltered victims. In the presentation of these considerations, we have not forgotten the victims who have not been provided such protection.
